Humanity. The act of kindness, love, and equality. Montgomery Sister Cities is proud to have brought community members “Together As One” along with County Executive Marc Elrich, Council President Gabe Albonoz, Takoma Park Mayor Kate Stewart, Maryland State General Assembly District 20 Delegates Jheanelle Wilkins, David Moon and Lorig Charkoudian, Catherine Leggett, Former First Lady and other elected officials as they walked in silence carrying fifty-two colorful signs displaying powerful humanitarian quotes.
The significance of this event is timely when the expression of humanity towards one another is critically needed. MSC was established to connect Montgomery County to the world by encouraging and fostering friendship, partnerships and mutual cooperation through various exchanges between the people of Montgomery County and people from various nations around the world.
